About this roll* (Responsibilities)

Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable features across Toast’s enterprise management products
Hands-on design and implementation of Android applications in Kotlin
Lead complex projects that improve the functionality and reliability of our products
Ensure quality by building automated testing for changes
Contribute to the overall quality of the Android and backend systems
Collaborate with UX, PM, QA, and Engineering to define, design, and build best-in-class solutions in a complex and fast-moving environment
Guide the growth & development of peer engineers with mentoring and coaching
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

5+ years of prior experience developing and maintaining Android applications
Experience with distributed systems, enterprise messaging systems, and/or microservices
Proficient with modern API standards and technologies (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Passionate about driving innovation and continuously improving engineering practices
Proven track record of technical leadership and contribution to complex projects
Has a growth mindset with an emphasis on improving yourself and your team
Balances getting things done with platform stability
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science

Pay Range
$138,000—$221,000 USD
