Paralegal Position Overview

A growing law firm in Lakewood, NJ is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Title Coordinator to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions across real estate, corporate, healthcare, title, and business-related matters.

The firm is open to candidates at various experience levels and is looking for someone who is organized, professional, and eager to grow their career. A paralegal certificate is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with real estate, corporate, healthcare, title, and business transactions.
  • Support transactional matters from initial documentation through closing and post-closing.
  • Prepare, organize, review, and maintain legal and transaction-related documents.
  • Assist with real estate and title-related documentation and coordination.
  • Track transaction deadlines, outstanding documents, approvals, and closing requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain closing checklists and transaction files.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, counterparties, and other professionals.
  • Assist with corporate documents, organizational records, agreements, and supporting materials.
  • Support due diligence and document review processes.
  • Follow up with clients and outside parties regarding outstanding information and documentation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical matter files.
  • Assist with closing and post-closing documentation.
  • Manage multiple active transactions while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Provide additional legal and administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in real estate, title, corporate, healthcare, business transactions, or related legal work is helpful.
  • Paralegal, title coordination, legal assistant, or similar experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and comfortable communicating with attorneys, clients, and outside parties.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.
  • Motivated to learn and develop professionally within a sophisticated transactional practice.
  • Paralegal certificate is not required.
