Job description

Description
We're seeking a Senior Field Marketing Manager to own Nimble's presence in the field — planning, logistics, on-site execution, and follow-up across industry conferences, regional summits, developer hackathons and meetups (with our Ecosystem team), and ABM and customer events.

You'll be the connective tissue between Marketing, Ecosystem, Sales, and leadership, and you'll run it with real autonomy — no coordinator behind you — backed by a data-driven mindset to prove what each event delivers.

Responsibilities
You'll own Nimble's presence in the field — the event engine that puts us in front of the AI engineers who build on us and the enterprise buyers who sign.

Strategy & Budget

Decide which events we invest in, how we show up, and which ones we walk away from
Own the annual calendar — conferences, hackathons and meetups, regional summits, executive dinners, and partner co-marketing activations
Own the budget end to end, including sponsorship and vendor negotiation
Leverage existing and build new relationships with partners to amplify our presence at events

Execution

Own venue, contracts, run-of-show, speaking slots, and booth
Design the programming — not just the venue — that makes a dinner worth the room's evening
Brief executives and sellers so everyone arrives with the same story
Be the decision-maker on-site, solo, when something breaks

Pipeline

Build target lists with Sales before every event
Run the follow-up motion afterward, so no lead dies in a spreadsheet
Partner with Ecosystem on hackathons and meetups, where a working demo earns more trust than a booth

Measurement

Report ROI per event to leadership — meetings and pipeline, not badge scans
Kill formats that don't convert — three events that produce pipeline beat ten that produce photos
Bring a real point of view on events into GTM planning

Requirements
Experience & Skills

4+ years managing events at a high-growth B2B tech company (AI/data space strongly preferred)
Existing relationships across both enterprise and AI-native technical companies — deep connections in SF or NY a strong plus
Demonstrated success planning both developer-focused events (hackathons, meetups, technical conferences) and executive-level events (dinners, summits, customer gatherings)
Proven ownership of the full event lifecycle — planning, pre-event logistics, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up
Strong vendor management, budgeting, and negotiation skills
Data-driven approach to events: comfortable defining metrics, tracking ROI, and reporting results to senior management
Experience supporting large industry events and regional summits

How You Work

You're highly organized and can juggle multiple events and stakeholders without dropping a ball
You bring creativity to every event — you don't default to the obvious playbook, and you've hosted a dinner where the programming, not the venue, made the room worth everyone's evening
You operate with autonomy and take ownership from first idea to final follow-up email, with minimal dependency on others
You communicate clearly with both executives and cross-functional teams — and treat the sales handoff as your job, not someone else's
You stay calm when something breaks day-of
You talk about your events in pipeline, not attendance
