Job description

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and maintain staff schedules based on client care needs and employee availability
Communicate with caregivers, clients, families, and internal team members in a professional manner
Fill open shifts, manage schedule changes, and assist with last-minute staffing needs
Confirm staff attendance, availability, and shift details as required
Update scheduling software and maintain accurate scheduling records
Respond to calls, emails, and scheduling inquiries in a timely manner
Escalate client concerns, staffing issues, cancellations, or urgent matters to management when needed
Support continuity of care by helping ensure consistent staffing whenever possible
Follow company policies, confidentiality requirements, and documentation procedures
Assist with other administrative and operational duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous scheduling, staffing, administrative, or customer service experience is preferred
Experience in home care, health care, staffing, or a related environment is an asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable using scheduling software, email, Microsoft Office, and phone systems
Professional, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to work in a high pace environment and handle stressful situations
