Job description

Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Verify and perform reconciliations of Balance sheet and key expense accounts.
Check for accuracy and completeness in the general and subsidiary ledgers, journals, reports, accounts receivable and payable, researching variances and adjusting as needed to produce error-free financial reports.
Assist in month-end and year-end close process.
Assist with various state sales tax filings.
Compile cost information to provide insight for annual budget preparation.
Performs other related duties and participates with other special projects as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
At least 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Demonstrate organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
Proven track record of being a motivated self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet critical deadlines.
Computer/Software Knowledge:
Proficient in MS Office Suite, Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
Ability to quickly adapt/learn job specific software systems.
Knowledge of SAP experience is a plus.
Experience with ClickTime software is a plus.
