In accordance with the provisions of Article XIV-B of the contract between the Flemington-Raritan Education Association and the Flemington-Raritan Board of Education, the following position is available:

Preschool Secretary

School Year:
2026-2027

Effective Dates:
08/17/2026- 06/30/2027(tenure track position)

Responsibilities:

Fulfill all preschool expansion responsibilities, with coordination of central preschool registration;
Schedule appointments, meetings, conferences and community outreach events;
Assist with the coordination of transportation services for preschool students as a component of preschool enrollment;
Serve as the liaison to all preschool locations for updates relevant to central office documentation and communications (i.e. points of contact at each site, class lists, program-wide communication and Thrillshare, personnel and families);
Record-keep safety and security drills at private provider and Head Start locations;
Assist in record-keeping Preschool Expansion Aide compliance of
Assists with the process for preschool purchasing and material distribution;
Input/verification of student attendance and compliance of tracking preschool chronic absenteeism across all preschool in-district and private provider locations;
Processing of student registration including notification of incoming/transferring students to teachers and buildings, establishing new student files, mailing student records or requesting student records to/from transferred schools, supporting the transition of enrolled preschool students to kindergarten.
Processing of student forms such as free/reduced lunch, student internet permissions, maintenance of files for District Web Site, student insurance and student emergency forms.
Work cooperatively with administration, teaching staff, and the community;
Develop and maintain good relationships with parents and the community;
Willingness to stay abreast of new knowledge, office practice, and technology;
Maintain confidentiality of information, records and files; and
Any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
