Part-Time School Security Guard

Responsibilities

Student arrival and entry/exit;
Monitor student parking;
lunch duty;
checking student passes;
assisting with violations of health and safety codes;
and other job-related duties.
In order to qualify for this position, the successful candidate must demonstrate:

The ability to work flexible hours based upon the needs of the district
Experience in law enforcement preferred
Experience in school security and/or public safety preferred.
Knowledge of security measures, fire prevention, and crowd control.
Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate.
Use technology efficiently such as a computer, two-way radio, video monitors, buzz-in systems, electronic surveillance equipment and other devices selected by the district to be part of the school security system
CPR, AED, and First Aid Training
Experience in school settings preferred
Experience working with school-aged students preferred
