School Counselor Tenure Track

Requirements:

New Jersey Certified School Counselor must demonstrate the following:

Knowledge, skills and a background in school counseling.
Experience with the postsecondary planning process, including the college application process.
Demonstrated knowledge of the online program, Naviance.
Prior knowledge of PowerSchool a plus.
Ability to effectively articulate and advocate for children’s needs with teachers, administration, and parents.
Superior communication skills.
Awareness of the New Jersey Learning Standards and state assessment protocol.
