ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;
Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations;
Wear all required personal protective equipment;
Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
Attend all EH&S training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting/Staffing – Full cycle recruiting for Salaried & hourly positions.
Assist with new employee orientation for all Dover, NJ hires;
Create and modify job descriptions within all departments.
Manage Affirmative Action reporting
Assist with workforce reductions, administering layoffs in accordance with policy;
Facilitate Hourly/NES Employee Performance management cycles;
Employee Relations – Assist with workplace investigations to resolve employee relations issues
Process terminations, New Hires and UI Claims
Perform other assignments as required
On-Boarding – work closely with Ops/Mgmt to improve on-boarding of new employees.

Approach on regular basis all direct 0-90 days seniority employees with standard questions to gather key feedback data for correct new hire assimilation in the organization.
interacts with a wide variety of stakeholders; builds trust through interactions; honest and direct; confidential when required; balances toughness and compassion.
Develop a tracking tool to capture all variety of help chain connections from new employees’ interactions.
Coordinates between all departments SPA’s gathered items & follow up closure of items.
Present summarized reports & recommendations to Plant leadership on regular basis for all new hires follow up.
Apprentice Program

External – Lead external apprentice program & Interns.
Internal – Develop internal apprentice program focused on (Machinists, Mechanics/Electricians, Automation Techs and Engineering Techs)

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant’s ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
A minimum of 1 years of Human Resources/recruiting experience.

Excellent computer skills – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PHR, SPHR & MBA are a plus;

Human Resources Generalist experience in a Manufacturing environment.

Strong ability to multi-task and connect at all levels in the organization

Strong project management skills

Experience working with Excel, Oracle HRIS

Excellent communication/presentation skills
