Job description
Position Summary: The position is for a Training Coordinator in the CWFS division for the Homemaker Services program. The Homemaker service program is a preventive program that supports families in managing daily activities with their children.
Essential Duties:
Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
30% Manage maximum caseload of 10 families.
30% Provide coordination and leadership of homemaker trainings
10% Supervision of homemakers assigned to client families.
10% Monthly home visits to families assigned.
5% Ongoing assessment of service needs and appropriateness of service.
5% Development and review of Task Plans with each family.
2% Recommendations for reauthorization, including recommendations for increased/decreased hours and case closing.
2% Advocacy for clients in securing additional services and/or linking with other community resources.
2% Maintenance of case records and preparation of all required reports.
1% Liaison with primary case workers from other agencies and HASA staff.
2% Attend in-service training and staff meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work required.
Key Competencies:
Two plus years of related experience, preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Demonstration of sensitivity to clients’ ethnicity, cultural background and family situations.
Basic awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on families, preferred.
Sound casework and assessment skills.
Effective advocacy skills.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize community resources.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
