Patient Transporter

Responsibilities

The Transporter will perform a variety of activities related to the transportation of patients, specimens, and equipment. They will greet as well as assist patients and visitors at hospitals and clinics as directed.
Transport patients from their rooms to various locations.
Retrieve the proper equipment needed for the transport of patients.
Complete daily paperwork documenting activity.
Maintain a safe, healthy working environment.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families by listening to them and showing compassion.
Perform all other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Physically able to transport patients by wheelchairs, stretchers, and/or beds.
Ability to work independently utilizing a beeper.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Heavy pulling, pushing, and lifting are required (50 lbs or more).
Preferred Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
