Job description
What You’ll Do
Provide individual and group counseling services using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches
Facilitate group therapy sessions and guide meaningful therapeutic discussions
Apply knowledge of PTSD care and trauma-informed frameworks across a diverse client population
Support individuals with developmental disabilities with awareness of their distinct clinical needs
Approach gender-related concerns in counseling with sensitivity, competence, and care
Conduct thorough assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support continuity of care
Requirements
Required:
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
Active, independent licensure in the state of New Jersey (required)
Experience providing individual and group counseling services
Proficiency in facilitating group therapy sessions and therapeutic discussions
Knowledge of PTSD care and trauma-informed treatment approaches
Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and address their distinct clinical needs
Sensitivity and understanding of gender issues as they arise in a counseling context
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse client population
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
