Job description
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs maintenance service or repairs which can involve any of the following: plumbing, carpentry, service of machinery, electrical repairs or installations, painting, and plastering. Applies mastery of skills in adapting procedures, techniques, tolls, material and/or equipment to accomplish tasks.
Essential Job Functions
Responds to emergency calls and makes appropriate repairs.
Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment and maintains appropriate documentation per department procedure.
Orders parts and repairs equipment as needed, reports serious issues to Department Manager.
Ensures the inspection and electrical safety tests of equipment are maintained according to code requirements.
Follows department protocol for each job assigned.
Follows all department safety policies and ensures regulatory compliance.
Participates in department meetings and in-services as necessary
Job Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
Three years direct maintenance experience preferably in health care related equipment
Licenses/Certifications:
N/A
Abilities Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to crawl into tight places, work short periods of time in limited light and other adverse conditions in the event of power failure.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and walk long distances without assistance
Ability to climb a ladder

Intermittent noise to cause marked distraction or difficulty hearing other sounds
