Job Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification.

Develops and maintains the club’s annual marketing, media relations and outreach plan for the organization and measures the success of the established annual milestones, benchmarks and year over year ratings, views, leads and etc.

Researches, conceptualizes and creatively designs and produces marketing and promotional materials for products, services, programs, events and activities to promote the Coral Gables Golf & Country Club.

Assists in the coordination and requests for media press releases.

Develops marketing campaigns for new programs and events and tracks their impact on target audiences.

Researches, writes, prepares and edits accurate marketing and promotional materials, signage, reports, and other publications.

Assists in the development of marketing and/or promotional displays.

Maintains photo archives of the club and serves as photographer at special events and coordinates photo shoots of programs and activities.

Assists with updating and maintaining the club web page and all social media platforms to include but not limit to Facebook, Instagram, Google, Yelp, and etc. Monitors the club’s web and social media presence, and tracks the impact of campaigns on target audiences.

Conducts surveys and evaluations on behalf of the club.

Remains informed of new technology, best practices, and advancements in marketing and media.

Attends staff meetings, trainings and other functions as required.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include occasional nights, weekends and holidays.

Must observe and comply with all policies, rules, regulations, laws and ordinances of the Department and the City of Coral Gables.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma.

College course work in visual art, graphic design, marketing, communication, advertising, journalism, public relations, or a related field preferred.

Two years experience in marketing preferred.

A valid Florida Driver’s License.

A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum educational requirement.

A portfolio of current works or sample of work in graphic design, marketing, publicity or multi-media must be made available at the time of interview.
