Materials Manager

Manage the Company’s sourcing and procurement of Materials
Maintain in-depth knowledge of Raw Materials, Suppliers, and Purchasing Program
Develop and maintain good working relationships with Suppliers, Employees and Leadership
Responsible for the Continual Improvement of Purchasing and Inventory Management
Develop, maintain, and coordinate a system for regularly reviewing scheduled/blanket purchased items
Track, manage, and report Supplier performance
Routinely review purchasing practices to assure that staff are increasing service levels while managing total spend
Maximizing cost savings through Supplier selection, alternative sourcing, and logistical improvements
Work with the Engineering on new product development and cost reduction initiatives
Work with Executive Management and the Quality Manager to design and implement Supply Chain risk mitigation plans
Serve as a resource to Executive Management in matters related to Purchasing procedures, expense reduction initiatives, value analysis, and contract negotiations
Effective use of PLEX ERP for Job Classification-Specific Responsibilities (Inventory, Time Management, Scheduling, Purchase Requisitions)
Understand and follow all Company Procedures pertaining to assigned tasks, and the potential consequences of departure from these Procedures
Knowledge of the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, all Company Policies, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Customer requirements
Knowledge of the effects that nonconforming products have on our Customers
Knowledge of the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, all Safety Polices, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Regulatory requirements
Aware of the Quality impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Quality System and the benefits of improved personal performance
