This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join an employed orthopedic team within a busy, well-respected practice. Offering a highly engaging clinical split across inpatient rounding, consultations, ED procedures, and operating room assisting, this role allows you to practice at the top of your license with the full backing of a supportive surgical team and a robust health system network.
Call structure: Flexible with no set monthly requirement, rotating holidays
Practice setting: Inpatient Orthopedic Surgery
Includes occasional general surgery cross coverage in the operating room as needed
Employed position within a nonprofit health system
NCCPA certified
Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
Provide full-spectrum orthopedic support across the hospital, driving efficient patient care through dedicated inpatient rounding, responsive consultations, and first-assisting in the operating room.
Manage acute orthopedic emergencies by performing essential Emergency Department procedures and immediate therapeutic interventions to ensure rapid stabilization and optimal patient outcomes.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master’s degree preferred.
Work Experience:
1 year of experience preferred.
