School Teacher

Experience Level:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. Teaching certificate or other formal accreditation strongly preferred.

Candidates must have a strong grasp and understanding of Hebrew reading, writing, and comprehension skills and be comfortable with teaching and practicing egalitarian prayer. Candidates must also have knowledge and deep understanding of Jewish history, laws, traditions, and holiday practices.

Job Description:

We are hiring a supplemental Hebrew school teacher to teach the Hebrew and Judaic curriculum in the elementary grades for the 2026-27 school year (August to June). OTT uses the Etgar curriculum. This program was created by the Melton Research Center of the Jewish Theological Seminary. The Etgar program engages students through active learning, meaningful Judaic content, and deep personal reflection. Etgar schools throughout the country create a positive, productive Jewish learning experience.
