Job description

The Role
We’re seeking an organized, customer-service-oriented professional to join our team as the Meetings and Events Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is the primary point of contact for all meetings and event rentals at The Dupree — coordinating with Jewish organizations on conferences, retreats, programs, and more, and helping grow a gathering place where Atlanta’s Jewish community comes together.

Responsibilities
Don’t wait to be found — proactively invite Jewish organizations for tours and build a pipeline of partners who bring their most important gatherings to The Dupree.
Be the first voice organizations hear — respond promptly and warmly to rental inquiries, understand each group’s needs, and guide them to the right space and setup.
Lead site tours that turn prospects into confirmed users — bring visitors through a space designed for Jewish thriving and show them what’s possible here.
Gather and confirm every event detail — room configuration, AV, security, catering — so nothing is left to assumption.
Develop quotes and execute contracts, making the path to a confirmed rental easy and clear; track it all in HubSpot and Asana.
Oversee every element of rental coordination — scheduling, setup/breakdown, AV, vendors, and staffing — and own the day-of experience, anticipating needs and troubleshooting before issues escalate.
Support Dupree-led Jewish and Israel educational programs in collaboration with the Program Specialist.
Keep stakeholders in the loop, participate in weekly team planning meetings, and bring solutions when you spot friction in the rental experience.
Close out each booking with care — documentation, invoicing follow-up, and a satisfaction survey — so every organization leaves with a great last impression.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in event/program management, hospitality, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in event coordination, event planning, or a similar role.
Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot a plus) and a sales or client-facing background with a track record of building and managing a pipeline.
An organized self-starter with sharp time-management skills, who thrives under pressure and keeps the details straight when everything feels urgent.
Strong emotional intelligence and genuine interpersonal warmth — you read a room and communicate accordingly: warm with clients, clear with vendors, sharp in writing.
Professional or volunteer experience in the Jewish community is a plus.
Additional Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., food trays, program materials) during setup and breakdown, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to reliably arrive and depart on time as the point person for programs and events with variable start and stop times.
