Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
Regularly maintain the exterior entrances of the convention center, including window/glass washing/cleaning, to ensure they are clean and presentable. This includes sweeping, cleaning, and removing any debris.
Proactively pick up litter, palm fronds, and other debris from all exterior areas, ensuring a tidy appearance in entrances, roadways, driveways, flat lots, dock areas, campus exterior walls, and landscape areas.
Utilize pressure washing equipment to clean walkways, outdoor seating areas, and other exterior surfaces as needed.
Assist in maintaining the outdoor event areas, ensuring they are clean and well-organized for events and visitors.
Conduct routine inspections of the exterior facilities, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
Work closely with other maintenance staff and event coordinators to ensure all outdoor areas are ready for events and functions.
Participate in training for the proper use of maintenance carts, lifts, and other equipment. Ability to climb ladders as needed for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications
Previous experience in maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required.
Ability to operate pressure washing equipment and other maintenance tools safely.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
