How You’ll Make an Impact:

Collaborate with back-end engineers, product managers, and designers to define testable API requirements and support the delivery of high-quality software releases

Contribute to the development and improvement of our Karate-based API test automation framework, CI/CD testing pipelines, and QA processes

Validate API behavior end to end – request/response contracts, status codes, error handling, authentication/authorization, data integrity, and integrations with databases and message queues

Apply foundational knowledge of service architectures to drive product reliability, regression coverage, and operational efficiency

Uphold standards in test quality, API test documentation, and release readiness

Participate in code reviews, test plan reviews, and QA process discussions

Mentor junior QA engineers and help foster a culture of continuous learning and quality excellence

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Typically 1-2 years of experience in software testing, QA, or test automation, with hands-on exposure to API/back-end testing

Experience with API test automation tools such as Karate, REST Assured, or Postman – experience with Karate is strongly preferred

A solid understanding of REST fundamentals: HTTP methods, status codes, headers, JSON/XML payloads, and authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and running automated API tests as part of build and deployment workflows

Basic SQL skills for validating data behind the API layer

An eagerness to take initiative in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative development environment

Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset

Experience with Java, Gherkin/BDD, contract testing (e.g., Pact), performance testing (e.g., Gatling, JMeter), or API mocking/service virtualization is a plus
