Job description

Key Responsibilities

Lead corporate tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities across the organization.
Oversee the preparation and review of tax filings, provisions, and supporting documentation to help ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess potential impacts, and provide practical guidance to business and finance leaders.
Support tax accounting matters, including year-end and quarterly reporting requirements.
Partner with internal finance, accounting, legal, and business teams to address tax-related issues and support operational initiatives.
Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities as needed.
Identify tax risks, recommend process improvements, and support the development of effective internal controls.
Contribute to audits, reviews, and special projects related to corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, or cross-border matters, where applicable.
Prepare clear summaries, recommendations, and presentations for leadership on tax matters and related business impacts.
Support the continuous improvement of tax processes, documentation standards, and reporting workflows.

Requirements
Qualifications

Several years of progressive experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a combination of both.
Experience in tax compliance, tax provision work, and tax planning.
Strong knowledge of applicable tax regulations, reporting requirements, and accounting principles.
Experience managing complex tax matters, deadlines, and multiple stakeholder relationships.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical tax issues and explain them clearly to non-tax partners.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with tax or ERP systems is an asset.
Professional accounting designation and/or completion of advanced tax training is considered an asset.
