Job description
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and enhance iOS application features using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit for a consumer platform with significant daily usage.
• Contribute to key customer journeys such as browsing, discovery, purchasing, checkout, and live order or service tracking.
• Create and refine personalized content surfaces, including home feed experiences and recommendation-driven interfaces within the iOS app.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional partners to translate requirements into high-quality mobile experiences.
• Deliver new functionality at a steady pace while supporting product experiments focused on engagement, retention, and business performance.
• Troubleshoot issues across the full feature lifecycle, identifying root causes and resolving defects in a timely manner without relying on a dedicated debugging rotation.
• Improve application quality by maintaining organized, reusable, and scalable code that supports long-term development.
• Support performance and reliability efforts by monitoring app behaviour, using analytics and observability tools, and helping ensure a stable user experience under varying network conditions.
• Contribute to development and release practices using version control, CI workflows, and internal tooling for build and deployment processes.
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience developing native iOS applications with strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Hands-on background building mobile features for customer-facing products, ideally within high-growth or fast-paced environments.
• Experience creating recommendation-based, suggestion-led, or dynamic content experiences within mobile product pages or home screens.
• Familiarity with modern development workflows, including Git, continuous integration processes, and structured release practices.
• Working knowledge of GraphQL and comfort collaborating with backend services supported by technologies such as Ruby and Go.
• Experience using analytics and monitoring platforms, including tools such as Datadog, to investigate application behaviour and support feature health.
• Ability to work effectively within established design systems and partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive user experiences.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently manage features, solve problems, and adapt within small to mid-sized team settings.
