Job description

Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and enhance Android features for a high-traffic mobile application using modern development practices and Kotlin-based tooling.
• Create engaging customer-facing experiences across key product journeys such as content discovery, purchasing flows, and live order visibility.
• Develop and refine dynamic feed and recommendation-oriented interfaces that support personalized engagement within the Android app.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teammates to translate business goals into well-executed mobile solutions.
• Deliver production-ready code at a steady pace while supporting experiments that influence growth, engagement, and retention.
• Strengthen application quality by improving performance, maintaining stability across a wide range of Android devices, and addressing challenges in low-connectivity conditions.
• Investigate and resolve issues across owned features from initial diagnosis through implementation and validation.
• Contribute to a clean, maintainable, and modular codebase that supports long-term scalability and efficient collaboration.
• Work with internal development and deployment platforms, version control practices, and CI workflows to support reliable feature delivery.

Requirements
• 5+ years of Android development experience in roles focused on building and shipping mobile applications.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Kotlin and the Android ecosystem, including Android SDK and Android Studio.

• Demonstrated ability to build scalable, customer-facing Android experiences with attention to usability, performance, and reliability.

• Experience supporting product areas that involve personalized content, recommendation-driven interfaces, or dynamic home screen experiences.

• Familiarity with backend-adjacent technologies and services such as Ruby, Go, GraphQL, and observability or analytics tools including Datadog.

• Working knowledge of Git-based source control and continuous integration workflows used in modern software delivery.

• Comfortable collaborating within design systems and internal platforms that support development, testing, and release processes.

• Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced teams with a high level of ownership and accountability.
