Job description
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, along with the related notes, schedules, and supporting analysis.
• Manage consolidation activities for multiple real estate entities and operating companies, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reporting under IFRS.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals by organizing required documentation and responding to review and audit requests.
• Partner with property accounting teams to assess financial results, examine variances, and recommend correcting entries or other adjustments where needed.
• Contribute to annual budgets and quarterly forecasts by compiling inputs, validating assumptions, and summarizing results for leadership review.
• Analyze actual performance against budget and forecast expectations, highlighting key drivers, emerging trends, and areas requiring attention.
• Support cash flow planning and prepare financial insights that assist with operational priorities, investment decisions, and funding needs.
• Develop reporting packages and presentation materials for senior management and support finance initiatives that improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
Requirements
• CPA designation or actively pursuing
• Strong background in IFRS financial reporting, consolidations, month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prior work experience in Public Accounting supporting public companies and Real Estate Industry experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with auditors, tax advisors, property accounting teams, and cross-functional business partners.
• Advanced analytical skills with experience preparing variance analysis, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.
• Strong proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation tools, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial data and reconciliations.
