About the Role
The Research Data Analyst supports Prizmah’s research, benchmarking, and evaluation initiatives by managing data throughout its lifecycle, from collection and validation to analysis and reporting.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing complex information, improving processes, and producing work that others rely on to make important decisions. Success in this role comes from producing accurate, organized, and actionable data that others can trust.
What You’ll Do
Data Management
Collect, clean, validate, merge, and maintain datasets from multiple sources.
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of organizational data.
Develop and maintain repeatable data management processes and documentation.
Manage data imports and exports across research and survey platforms.
Identify and resolve data quality issues before analysis and reporting.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Prepare tables, charts, dashboards, and descriptive analyses.
Produce recurring benchmarking reports and summaries.
Develop concise written summaries that communicate what the data show.
Contribute the production of research reports and Knowledge Center publications.
Survey & Evaluation Support
Program and test surveys in Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey.
Aggregate and organize evaluation, and engagement data.
Produce descriptive tables and summary reports that support evaluation activities.
Research Operations
Collaborate on research projects from data collection through reporting.
Coordinate recurring data collection activities with internal staff and partner schools.
Respond to routine internal data requests.
Collaborate across departments to support research and organizational learning.
Identify opportunities to improve research workflows through thoughtful use of technology, automation, and AI.
Perform other administrative and operational support tasks as needed to support the work of the Knowledge, Research & Data team.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in research, data analysis, education, social sciences, statistics, nonprofit management, or a related field. Master degree preferred.
At least two years of experience working with research, benchmarking, surveys, evaluation, or data analysis.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, filtering, and data cleaning.
Experience preparing reports, tables, dashboards, or descriptive analyses.
Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work environment.

Build and maintain accurate, well-documented datasets that support Prizmah’s major research initiatives.

Part-time position averaging approximately 25 hours per week.

Salary range of $33,000 – $36,000. Prizmah’s salary ranges are based on education, experience, and skill set required for each role.
