The Role
We are seeking a full-time Production Assistant to support products from build through to shipment. The role reports to the Production Manager and works as part of a team maintaining studio standards, with responsibilities spanning lighting fixture assembly, wiring, testing, order preparation, shipping, and studio upkeep.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands and the repetitive nature of the tasks, values high-quality craftsmanship, and brings consistent care and quality to every product they touch.
Core Responsibilities
Product Assembly (50%)
Assemble, wire, and test light fixtures.
Follow detailed assembly instructions, QC guidelines, processes, and procedures
Packing and Shipping (30%)
Prepare and package orders for domestic and international shipments.
Process orders through shipping platforms including generating required labels and documents.
Stock Replenishment and Organization (15%)
Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment/tools according to established procedure
Assist in full studio inventory count in both our studio and warehouse spaces
Assist Inventory Coordinator in receiving shipments (i.e., inventory transfer, packaging material, or larger palletized shipments)
Assist in QC audit of products when necessary
General (5%)
Assist in studio/show product installation when necessary at either our Gowanus, Tribeca locations and or offsite locations
Assist in product photography when necessary

Requirements
1–4 years of relevant experience in the field or function.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
Ability to stand 90% of each work day while performing job duties and responsibilities
Role requires frequent use of hands and fine motor coordination
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds multiple times a day
Must be comfortable and have knowledge using a drill press.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and ability to transition seamlessly between multiple software systems throughout the workday
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with wiring, electrical work, or furniture building is a plus but not required
Experience in brass finishing, patinating, soldering, threading and tapping.
Some experience working with adjacent teams or stakeholders is preferred.
Ability to understand team goals and contribute ideas that improve processes or outputs.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with others across functions, and levels.
Comfortable with ambiguity and change; able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to own work, meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments.
