Job description

You will make a difference by:

Providing field service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and warranty remediation for installed PV inverter systems.
Delivering technical and after-sales support to customers, including installation guidance, commissioning, startup assistance, firmware upgrades, monitoring system configuration, and equipment replacement.
Investigating product performance concerns, warranty claims, and technical issues to identify effective solutions.
Supporting the sales organization as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert for PV inverter technologies.
Completing all required service documentation, reports, and material/parts requests accurately and in a timely manner.
Performing preventative maintenance activities on installed equipment as required.
Providing remote technical support and Help Desk services for customers and field personnel.
Maintaining a high level of professionalism, organization, and customer focus while managing multiple priorities.
Adhering to all Siemens and customer safety policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy, power systems, electrical services, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated success working independently in customer-facing field service or technical support roles.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of power systems, power electronics, and controls.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel up to 80% domestically.
Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and other demanding field environments.
Must reside within the contiguous United States.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Direct experience supporting, commissioning, troubleshooting, or servicing solar PV inverter systems.
Strong understanding of solar power generation and inverter technologies.
Journeyman Electrician License.
Experience working with monitoring, communication, and control systems used within solar energy applications.
