General Studies Co-Teacher

Responsibilities
Teach small-group reading, writing, math, spelling, and handwriting lessons.
Provide individualized academic support.
Guide students during the Montessori work cycle and maintain a calm, productive classroom.
Collaborate with teaching colleagues on curriculum, student progress, parent communication, and progress reports.
Foster a positive classroom culture through respectful discipline, emotional growth, and a growth mindset.
Assist with classroom routines, materials, field trips, and special events.

Qualifications
Experience teaching elementary students; Montessori experience preferred.
Strong understanding of child development and effective classroom management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with lesson planning, literacy, and math instruction.
Montessori training and private school experience are a plus but not required.
