Role and Impact
As our Director of Business Philanthropy, you will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business engagement strategy that connects influential professionals and corporate partners to the Federation’s mission. You will cultivate meaningful relationships with business leaders, create industry-focused engagement opportunities, and secure corporate sponsorships that advance Federation programs and initiatives.
Working collaboratively with development staff, lay leadership, and community stakeholders, you will build a sustainable platform for corporate philanthropy that expands the Federation’s reach and impact throughout South Palm Beach County.
Key Responsibilities
Business Engagement & Relationship Building
• Design and execute industry-specific engagement strategies that connect business leaders to Federation initiatives
• Create and lead exclusive networking events, educational programs, and leadership experiences that foster meaningful relationships
• Build and manage a portfolio of corporate partners, business leaders, and high-level prospects
• Develop customized engagement plans that deepen involvement and philanthropic participation
Corporate Sponsorships & Partnerships
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and secure corporate sponsorships, including both cash and in-kind contributions
• Develop creative partnership opportunities that align business objectives with Federation priorities
• Collaborate with sponsors to maximize visibility, engagement, and impact through Federation programs and events
• Negotiate sponsorship agreements and ensure successful fulfillment of partnership commitments
Philanthropic Growth & Revenue Development
• Develop and implement strategies to increase philanthropic support from the business community
• Cultivate relationships that lead to sponsorships, major gifts, and long-term philanthropic partnerships
• Identify new prospects through networking, community engagement, and business development efforts
• Collaborate with development leadership to integrate corporate philanthropy into broader fundraising strategies
Stewardship & Community Impact
• Ensure sponsors and partners receive meaningful recognition and engagement opportunities
• Develop thoughtful stewardship plans that demonstrate the impact of philanthropic investments
• Maintain ongoing communication and relationship management with corporate partners and business leaders
• Serve as an ambassador for the Federation within the local business community
Collaboration & Reporting
• Partner with internal teams to align corporate engagement efforts with organizational priorities and events
• Work closely with professional and volunteer leadership to leverage relationships and expand outreach
• Maintain accurate records of donor and sponsor activity within CRM systems
• Track and report on sponsorship revenue, engagement metrics, and partnership outcomes
Thrive Here If You Have
• A bachelor’s degree
• 5–10 years of experience in sales, business development, corporate partnerships, nonprofit fundraising, or a related field
• A proven track record of securing sponsorships, closing business deals, or generating philanthropic support
• Exceptional relationship-building, networking, and communication skills
• Experience managing high-level client, donor, or corporate partner relationships
• Passion for Jewish values, community, and philanthropy preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar platforms
