First Grade General Studies Teacher (Boys)

Position Summary
Breuer’s is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated First Grade General Studies Teacher to teach boys Monday through Thursday from 1:00–4:30 PM. The ideal candidate loves working with young children, creates an engaging and structured classroom, and is committed to helping each student develop strong academic skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities
Teach first-grade General Studies, including reading, phonics, writing, spelling, handwriting, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
Foster a positive classroom culture built on kindness, respect, responsibility, and curiosity.
Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
Collaborate with colleagues to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
Participate in faculty meetings and professional development as needed.

Qualifications
Elementary teaching experience, preferably in the primary grades.
Strong knowledge of early literacy and elementary mathematics instruction.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented mindset.
Experience in a Jewish day school is a plus but not required.
