Pharmacy Tech

Under the supervision the Pharmacy Director, Pharmacists and Buyer/Lead Tech, the Pharmacy Technician assists in the preparation and delivery of all medications and performs related duties. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal laws, Joint Commission standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education:

Minimum:

High school graduate or equivalent with clerical and science courses preferred.
Proof of completion of board approved pharmacy technician – training program
Experience/Other Qualifications:

One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred in unit dose and IV admixture preferred
Demonstrates good communication skills and is able to relate effectively to hospital staff, department heads, administration, and medical staff
Required Certification / Licensure / Registration:

For both Tech positions, must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy as Pharm Tech
To be considered Certified Pharmacy Tech, must obtain Certification
