Job description
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Independently seeing patients for follow-up. Collaborate with attending physician as indicated.
Triage and manage patients’ symptoms secondary to their malignancy or treatment regimens.
Perform bone marrow biopsies with aspiration, IT chemotherapy administration, and Ommaya access.
Management of chemotherapy.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
Qualifications
Education (NP):
Master of Nursing Degree.
Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered.
Education (PA-C):
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
Bachelor’s degree
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an NP/PA with a focus on malignant hematology, including Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and CAR T therapy.
Licensure/Certifications Requirements:
NP
CA RN License.
Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License.
National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
PA-C
PA-C License
National PA-C Certification
DEA License (schedule 2-5)
ACLS Life Support Certification required.
