Middle School English/Social Studies Teacher (Girls)

Responsibilities
Teach English and Social Studies to 7th and 8th grade students.
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons that promote critical thinking and active learning.
Teach literature, writing, grammar, vocabulary, research skills, and historical content using a variety of instructional strategies.
Foster thoughtful classroom discussions and encourage analytical reading and writing.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student growth and progress.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary learning, and student support.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, History, Education, or a related field a plus.
Experience teaching middle school English and/or Social Studies.
Excellent writing, communication, and classroom management skills.
Passion for literature, history, and helping students become confident readers, writers, and thinkers.
Collaborative, organized, and growth-oriented mindset.
Experience in a Jewish day school is a plus but not required.
