2026-2027 Part Time Educator

Job Summary/Objective

We are looking for several positions to complete our teaching team. We have openings in the following places:

K-5th Grades SUNDAYS weekly 9am-11:30am teaching (staff meeting at 8:30am)

1st Grade SUNDAYS monthly 9am-11:30am teaching (staff meeting at 8:30am)

3rd or 4th Grade TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS 3:30pm-4:45pm teaching

Responsibilities include:

Preparation and Instruction

Using curricular resources provided by JLL Director and Full Time Cohort Lead, you will prepare for and teach weekly lessons for 25 sessions (weekend) or 28 sessions (weekday) between September 27th and May 23rd
JLL Support staff will ensure that requested materials are available as needed
Attend required Teacher Training/Professional Development sessions throughout the year

Communications

Establish a rapport with students and families
Draft regular communications to parents that highlight learnings and projects from class
Reach out to families where students are absent more than two weeks in a row

Qualifications:

Collaborative and flexible team player
Self-starter and self-reflective
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Possess the ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with children and their parents
Comfort with Hebrew (spoken preferred)
Knowledge of and commitment to the Reform Jewish movement, its values and its institutions (preferred)
