Job description

Our company has grown rapidly, but our operational infrastructure has not kept pace. We are hiring a Chief Operating & Transformation Officer to build the systems, structure, and leadership needed to scale the business profitably.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will assume full ownership of the company’s day-to-day operations, P&L performance, and organizational execution. The business is driven primarily by field operations, including site managers, field managers, and field teams operating across multiple jobs. This leader will create the operational framework, accountability, and leadership discipline required to ensure every project is executed efficiently, every team knows what they own, and every job is profitable.

This is a transformation role for a builder who has successfully professionalized and scaled complex field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all company operations with full ownership of execution, profitability, and operational performance.

Build scalable operating systems, SOPs, policies, and accountability across corporate and field operations.

Create clear organizational structure, defined responsibilities, and measurable KPIs for site managers, field managers, and department leaders.

Drive operational consistency across every job site, ensuring schedules, labor, quality, communication, and financial performance are tightly managed.

Analyze operational and financial performance, identify inefficiencies, implement restructuring initiatives, and improve margins.

Serve as the CEO’s operational partner, allowing the CEO to focus on growth while owning the day-to-day business.

Must-Haves

Executive leadership experience as a COO, President, EVP Operations, or comparable role.

Proven success transforming and scaling a founder-led or high-growth organization.

Full P&L ownership with a track record of improving profitability.

Experience building operational systems, organizational structure, and leadership accountability from the ground up.

Strong financial and analytical decision-making skills with the ability to drive data-backed operational improvements.

Experience leading large field operations with multiple job sites, field managers, and site leadership is a significant advantage.

Success Looks Like

Company-wide accountability and ownership are embedded throughout the organization.

Standardized processes and operating disciplines are implemented across field and corporate teams.

Every project operates with clear financial accountability and improved profitability.

Leadership consistently executes against measurable operational and financial KPIs.

The CEO is no longer managing daily operations and is focused on strategic growth.
