Drug Rehabilitation Billing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Drug Rehabilitation Billing Specialist to manage the full revenue cycle for substance use disorder services. This role is responsible for commercial out-of-network (OON) billing, claim processing, payment posting, denial management, and appeals.

Responsibilities:

* Submit and manage OON claims for detox, residential, PHP, and IOP services.
* Process claim follow-up, denials, appeals, and payment posting.
* Reconcile reimbursements and identify underpayments.
* Coordinate with clinical and collections teams to ensure accurate billing.

Requirements:

* 2–5 years of substance use disorder billing experience.
* Experience with commercial OON billing and revenue cycle management.
* Proficiency with UB-04, CMS-1500, HCPCS codes, modifiers, and commercial behavioral health payers.
* Knowledge of single case agreements.
* Familiarity with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 preferred.
* Experience with EHRs, clearinghouses, or Sunwave/Waystar is a plus.
