Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Supervision: Provide regular individual and group clinical supervision to clinicians, interns, and volunteers delivering behavioral health interventions.
Operational Leadership: Assist the Senior Program Director in managing day-to-day operations, leading staff meetings, and guiding program planning.
Compliance & Reporting: Prepare reports, documentation, and communications for regulatory bodies and funders (NYS OMH, NYC DoHMH, NYC Aging, Medicare, Medicaid).
Quality Improvement: Lead ongoing quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI) initiatives in coordination with agency quality assurance staff.
Student Instruction: Provide field instruction and supervision to undergraduate and graduate social work students.
Community & Stakeholder Relations: Maintain cooperative relationships with public/voluntary agencies and represent JASA at community events and interdisciplinary conferences.
Possible Additional Responsibilities (Direct Care & Outreach):
Direct Clinical Care: Deliver evidence-based mental health interventions (individual, family, group) in person, virtually, or through home visits when medically necessary.
Satellite & Outreach Engagement: Utilize outreach strategies at older adult centers to engage participants and provide case consultations/psychoeducation to site staff.
Crisis Management: Participate in extended hours coverage via company phone on evenings, weekends, or holidays to respond to client crises.
Documentation: Complete comprehensive treatment plans, progress notes, and statistical reports within mandated timeframes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Google/Microsoft platforms.
🎓 What You’ll Need
Licensure: NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Clinical Psychologist required; LCSW strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in a mental health setting or with an older adult population.
Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience is preferred.
Technical Skills: Computer literacy required, including experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with proven success in a collaborative team setting.
