About the Team
We’re seeking an experienced Non-Technical Recruiter to support hiring efforts for the TikTok Global Functions business units. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of the hiring process while acting as a strategic business partner to key stakeholders across PMO, Global Brand and Communications, and Global Legal & Public Policy. You will build innovative sourcing strategies led by data and market intelligence, lead a selection process that adopts D&I best practices, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
The ideal candidate is highly driven, eager to learn, and excited to tackle complex logistical challenges in dynamic talent markets. You will work closely with the broader HR team and play a direct role in hiring the talent that shapes TikTok’s global compliance, safety, and business operations. This is a contract position for a duration of 9-12 months based in New York.
To enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnership, our organization currently requires employees to work from the office 5 days per week, or as directed by their manager/department. This model is regularly reviewed and may evolve based on business needs.
Responsibilities
– Partner closely with business leaders and hiring managers across PMO, Global Brand and Communications, and Global Legal & Public Policy to assess talent requirements and advise on the best hiring strategy.
– Navigate complex hiring, demonstrating a strong understanding of market and regulatory nuances.
– Use various techniques, skills, and experience to discover, identify, and attract top talent in competitive, niche markets.
– Screen and select candidates effectively by assessing skills and business acumen along with matching values within the TikTok environment.
– Provide an efficient and high-quality experience for every candidate from the application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview and offer process, salary recommendations, and offer negotiations.
– Collaborate with cross-functional HR colleagues locally and regionally to ensure a seamless end-to-end recruitment lifecycle
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
– Minimum 3 years of professional Talent Acquisition experience, with 1+ years focused on supporting non-tech functions (e.g., Legal, Policy, Comms, PMO, G&A, or Marketing).
– Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with employees, stakeholders, and candidates, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
– Experience closing candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages.
– Ability to identify and leverage dsta to drive and influence decisions.
– Ability to work cross-functionally and regionally across a global organization within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
– High attention to detail with an understanding of complex hiring nuances (relocations, work authorizations, compliance).
– Previous experience supporting highly regulated, creative, or deeply analytical client groups (e.g., Legal, Public Policy, PMO, Communications, or Brand).
– Demonstrated ability to embrace ambiguity, pivot quickly, and manage high requisition volumes (15+ reqs).
