Revenue Cycle Specialist

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our growing Revenue Cycle team. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing, payment posting, claim follow-up, and collections while working collaboratively with internal departments and insurance payers.

Key Responsibilities
Submit accurate insurance claims for behavioral health services.
Follow up on unpaid, denied, and underpaid insurance claims.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and claim rejections.
Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed.
Work with commercial insurance companies, Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care organizations.
Maintain accurate patient account documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Communicate professionally with insurance representatives, patients, and internal staff.
Meet productivity and collection goals while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Assist with month-end revenue cycle activities and special projects.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum1 year of medical billing or revenue cycle experience (behavioral health experience preferred).
Knowledge of commercial, private insurance and behavioral health billing.
Experience with claim appeals, denials, collections, and payment posting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
