Landlord & Tenant Attorney

*Job Title:* In-House Landlord & Tenant Attorney
*Location:* Lynbrook, NY (Office) / Bronx, NY (Court Appearances)
*Salary:* $150K+ with significant growth potential

*Description:*
A growing property management company is seeking an experienced In-House Landlord & Tenant Attorney to take ownership of its legal process. This is a unique opportunity to build and expand an in-house legal operation while managing a high-volume Bronx portfolio with long-term leadership potential.

*Responsibilities:*
• Handle Landlord & Tenant (L&T) matters, including non-payment and holdover proceedings.
• Represent the company in Bronx Housing Court and ensure cases are filed and handled efficiently.
• Manage approximately 150 active cases at any given time.
• Work closely with the property management team to oversee legal strategy and case progression.
• Maintain organized case files, court schedules, and legal documentation.
• Help develop and grow the company’s long-term in-house legal department.

*Qualifications:*
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active New York State Attorney license required.
• Experience handling Landlord & Tenant matters, particularly non-payment and holdover cases.
• Strong organizational and case management skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
