Position Summary
Registered Nurse, Endoscopy
Your goal in this position is to provide excellent patient and family driven care, in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. You will do this by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of care providers, with an emphasis on the assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health. Qualifications
• Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in assisting with adult and paediatric endoscopic procedures including and not limited to Gastro/colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP procedures within an Endoscopic environment or Operating Room required
• Certification in Peri Anesthesia care preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Completion Health Assessment Course required
• Demonstrated proficiency in initiating IV therapy, IV push medication and venipuncture required
• Canadian Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates membership, preferred
• RNAO and OPANA membership, preferred
• Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
