Job description
What You’ll Do:
Shipment Processing & Verification: Receive incoming shipments, transport cartons safely into the store, unpack and inspect merchandise, and systematically receive them into our inventory platform while verifying shipment accuracy.
Inventory Accuracy & Discrepancy Audits: Audit inventory regularly to identify on-hand variances. Partner directly with store leadership to investigate, reconcile discrepancies, and support all cycle counts and physical inventories.
Stockroom Organization & Salesfloor Replenishment: Maintain rigorous stockroom standards, cleanliness, and efficiency. Ensure all soft home, bedding, and bath products are properly labeled, stored, and seamlessly replenished to keep the sales floor in a strong in-stock position.
Operational Project Support: Assist store leadership with inventory transfers, markdowns, damages, and ad-hoc operational or visual merchandising tasks to support overall business needs.
Backup Sales Floor Support: Seamlessly shift to the sales floor during peak traffic periods or staffing shortages, serving as a backup associate who delivers exceptional customer service.
Selling & Service Model Execution: Apply our premium selling and service model when supporting the floor. Greet customers enthusiastically, listen to their design or bedding needs, and share expert product storytelling.
Store Recovery & Presentation Standards: Actively support overall store presentation, merchandising adjustments, and floor recovery standards to keep the shopping environment beautifully styled and brand-aligned.
In-the-Moment Problem Solving: Handle routine inventory or POS technical hitches, addressing everyday operational challenges with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
Collaborative Culture Contribution: Participate in daily team huddles, communicate floor coverage or stock constraints effectively with teammates, and foster a highly collaborative, inclusive team culture.
We’re Looking For Someone With:
1+ years of experience in retail stock, inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, or a highly operational customer service environment preferred.
An adaptable and proactive mindset: A true doer who takes initiative on the floor, anticipates customer and operational needs, and supports daily workflows without needing constant direction.
A passion for the “Soft Home” space: A genuine love for comfort, design, and home styling, with a desire to help customers mix and match their dream bed and bath setups.
Strong communication and active listening skills: The natural ability to connect with diverse groups of people, demonstrate empathy, and solve problems with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and comfortably stand, walk, bend, reach, and handle inventory deliveries throughout scheduled shifts.
Familiarity with select retail and workplace systems is a plus: Experience working within an Apple-based ecosystem (iPads/Macs) and utilizing platforms like Shopify POS, Slack, and Google Workspace.
Availability Requirements: Must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week, 2 of which must be weekend days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), including flexibility for evening and holiday shifts based on business needs.
