Job description

What You Will Do
Successfully manage multiple capital projects ($10MM – $50MM) across full lifecycle (P0–P6)
Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, schedule, budget and risk management
Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, maintenance, operations, finance, safety, and construction
Foster alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners; ensure all parties are aligned on project requirements, scope, and deliverables
Drive FEL development and execution readiness (P0-P3)
Ensure alignment with mill and business leadership
Facilitate project reviews, status reporting, executive updates, and stakeholder communications
Oversee detailed design, contractor coordination, outage execution, and startup (P4-P6)
Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Manage and control objective and scope changes
Deliver projects that meet business case and performance expectations

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related)
4+ years of progressive project management experience.
Experience managing multi-million-dollar projects
Experience leading cross-functional engineering and construction teams
Knowledge of project management practices within a phase gate process
Ability to travel at least 80% to support project development, execution, outages, startups, and mill engagement

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience in pulp & paper, power, or utility systems
Experience with brownfield capital projects
Experience with maintenance outages
Experience with different project execution and project delivery models
Advanced degree: MBA or Master’s in Engineering
Advanced credentials: PMP, Professional Engineer, or other relevant certifications
