Responsibilities and Duties
Set High Academic Standards: Establish and maintain high expectations for all students while adapting to individual learning needs and styles.
Lesson Planning: Prepare comprehensive lesson plans that align with Learning Goal Indicators (LGIs) for each grade and level, integrating technology and AI resources to enhance learning.
Thoughtfully integrate instructional technology—including emerging AI tools—into planning, collaboration, differentiation, and assessment, in alignment with the school’s educational philosophy.
Integrate Language Skills: Daily incorporate all four language skills into classroom activities and assignments, using innovative methods to promote active participation.
Teach Grammar and Nuances: Instruct students on the rules of grammar and other essential aspects of the Hebrew language, utilizing interactive tools for better comprehension.
Data Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report performance data to assess student progress, adjusting strategies and methods as necessary to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Assess Student Abilities: Conduct pre-assessments and formative assessments to evaluate student progress towards proficiency in the LGIs, using AI analytics to inform instruction.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to ongoing curriculum development initiatives at Posnack School, participating in division and department-wide programming.
Engagement with Community: Attend and actively participate in school events, fostering relationships with students and parents in a supportive and friendly manner.
Administrative Duties: Work a maximum of eight days prior to the start of classes and two administrative days following the conclusion of the spring semester.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and well-being, providing written reports and updates as needed.
Confidentiality: Uphold confidentiality regarding student and family information both on and off campus.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as necessary for the efficient operation of the department and school, including lunch duties, carpools, and clubs.
Professional Conduct: Arrive on time for all scheduled workdays, maintain good attendance, and communicate respectfully with colleagues, adhering to all requirements outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Hebrew Language, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in teaching Hebrew at the high school level, with familiarity in using technology and AI in education.
Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods; proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
The candidate for the Upper School Educator position must have a current CAJE teaching certificate in Hebrew Language, a bachelo’s degree or higher in a related field, and the ability to teach all grade levels and ability levels of Upper School Hebrew.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience teaching Hebrew at the upper school school level, with familiarity in using technology and AI in education.
Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in both English and Hebrew; ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods; individualize instructions to meet the unique needs of each learning profile, proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom, comfort with AI and how it can support teaching and learning..
