Assistant/Associate Teacher

Responsibilities:

Work with classroom teacher to plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
Work with classroom teacher to differentiate instruction as necessary to meet the needs of all students
Support classroom teacher to communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
Work with classroom teacher to maintain an organized, welcoming classroom environment conducive to student learning
Use technology to support instruction
Use appropriate classroom management strategies so that boundaries are clear and students feel comfortable and able to learn
Collaborate with other faculty on school-wide curriculum, programming, and events
Provide supervision for students during play and eating blocks, as well as other times throughout the day
Show professionalism
Grow and develop professionally

Requires Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience working with children
Knowledge of relevant technology
Flexible thinker
Team player
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
