POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Leadership Development is a senior member of the Momentum Management Team, responsible for shaping and driving the global vision, strategy, and execution of Momentum’s leadership development ecosystem.
This role goes beyond program delivery to design and lead a cohesive, multi-layered leadership journey for community leaders, key partners, and alumni participants. The Director builds a continuum of engagement, from immersive experiences to ongoing fellowship and community-based leadership activation.
The Director ensures that leadership development at Momentum is not only programmatic, but also strategic, measurable, and field-shaping, strengthening both individual leaders and the communities they serve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership Strategy & Program Development
Develop and implement Momentum’s global leadership development strategy in alignment with organizational priorities.
Provide strategic leadership for Momentum’s Fellowship programs, ongoing alumni leadership engagement, and other leadership development initiatives.
Lead the evaluation, redesign, and continuous improvement of Fellowship programs and other leadership initiatives to ensure they meet organizational goals and participant needs.
Design, launch, and oversee leadership development initiatives that support leaders across multiple stages of engagement.
Evaluate and refine leadership initiatives to ensure they meet organizational goals and participant needs.
Establish goals, success metrics, and evaluation processes to measure program effectiveness and inform future planning.
Lead the Leadership Advisory Panel and work closely with the Panel chair
Program Leadership & Operations
Provide strategic oversight of the leadership development portfolio, ensuring initiatives are effectively planned, implemented, and evaluated.
Develop processes and standards that support consistent, high-quality program delivery across regions.
Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful execution.
Oversee the planning and execution of leadership programs, including Fellowship summits and related events.
Identify opportunities to expand or enhance leadership offerings based on organizational priorities and community needs.
Team Leadership and Management
Lead, coach, and develop the Leadership Development team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Establish clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations for team members.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development for direct reports.
Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources and alignment with strategic priorities.
Allocate team and financial resources effectively to support leadership development initiatives and organizational objectives.
Organizational Leadership
Serve as a member of the Momentum Management Team and contribute to organizational planning and decision-making.
Partner with Programs, Partnerships, Development, Marketing, Education, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of leadership initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, partners, volunteers, and other key stakeholders.
Represent Momentum in meetings, presentations, and external engagements related to leadership development.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree required, with at least 5 years of experience developing and managing leadership development programs. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success developing and implementing inspiring curriculum and educational materials that engage a wide spectrum of participants from diverse and international backgrounds.
Exceptional project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple deadlines.
Effective communication skills including excellent written and verbal skills. Strong platform teaching skills.
Proven ability to make sound data-based judgements.
Track record for demonstrating innovation, creativity, and commitment to excellence.
Passion and commitment to Momentum’s mission and Israel.
Ability to travel – both national and international – to attend retreats and relevant programs
