Job description
THE ROLE:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll keep these channel partners active and selling every week by driving them to activate campaigns that connect what is happening in sports each week to the right audience package and the right client opportunity.
This is a high-cadence, high-consistency role built around one idea: the sports calendar is the sales calendar. Every Monday you’ll show up with something useful; a recap of the weekend in sport and a timely, specific recommendation and you drive the activation from there. This is an ideal first or second job for someone who loves sport, communicates clearly, and wants to learn modern advertising sales in a structured, coachable environment with a clear path to grow.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Run the weekly cadence
Send a sharp weekly sports-moment email to all active partners every Monday; a 72-hour recap of the weekend in sport plus one timely package recommendation tied to a specific client.
Review your pipeline every Monday, flag partners with no active deal, and set specific client-and-package targets to push that week.
Drive partner activations
Call and email partners regularly, leading with the sports moment and landing on a specific, timely ask.
Follow up on any deal with no movement in five or more days and escalate any partner inactive for ten or more days before Monday.
Reinforce that partner deals are already built and live in their Genius Sports library, so activation is fast, clients can go live within 48 hours.
Master the product and the pitch
Become fluent in our eight sport audiences and five mindset-and-moment packages and map each partner’s client book to the right entry package and upsell path.
Deliver the package pitch and objection response for any package on demand, always closing with a fast, 48-hour activation timeline.
Spot upsell opportunities from live campaign performance and prospect at least one new client per Tier 1 partner each week.
Manage your pipeline
Keep every partner, client, package, stage, next action, and go-live date current in Salesforce.
Bring one win, one blocker, and one priority to the weekly team pipeline review.
Treat CRM hygiene as a discipline, not a chore — track your own pipeline without being chased.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Bachelor’s Degree in sales, marketing, business, communications or other relevant field.
0–2 years of experience from internships and/or a first sales/BDR/customer-facing role. Recent graduates with the right drive are welcome.
Clear, confident, concise written and verbal communication; you can write a tight, compelling email and hold a professional phone conversation.
Comfort with a repeatable weekly rhythm and strong follow-through — you do the small things consistently, not brilliantly once.
Genuine interest in sport and the ability to turn what is happening this week into a reason for someone to act.
Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable keeping a CRM current and managing your own pipeline.
Passion for sales, interest in making money, and driven personality.
Coachable — you take feedback well, act on it quickly, and want to build a career in sales.
