Peer Counselor

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide outreach services to clients in the community and coordinate health services between the Agency, community and home settings. The Peer Counselor will participate as a full member of the team to carry out support services and provide: substance abuse services and education, support to families and other identified supports and crisis intervention under the supervision of the Program Manager. You will provide highly individualized services in the community and promote self-determination and decision making.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A valid drivers license, clean driving record and means of reliable transportation.
A lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or homelessness
Must have a Peer Support Certification or be willing to obtain one in an agree upon timeframe if hired.
