Responsibilities

Communication with Parents & Families

Serve as the primary point of contact for parent questions and day-to-day concerns.
Send clear, timely communication to families, including registration updates, the school calendar, and schedule changes.
Respond promptly to parent calls, emails, and texts.
Teacher & Madrichim Support

Provide curricular support to teachers and madrichim, including guidance on implementing the existing curriculum and classroom management.
Check in regularly with teaching staff and serve as their primary point of contact for day-to-day questions.
Help troubleshoot classroom issues as they arise.
Coordinate substitute coverage when needed.
Maintain the established curriculum. This role does not include curricular redesign.
Operations & Continuity

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school, including schedules, registration, attendance, records, and administrative systems.
Ensure the school calendar is finalized and communicated to families.
Serve as the staff liaison to the Education Committee, identifying issues that require committee attention.
Manage routine administrative tasks that keep the program running smoothly.
What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This is an operational, stability-focused role centered on keeping the school running well and supporting families and teachers through the transition. It is not responsible for developing a long-term educational vision, launching new programs, or undertaking major curricular redesign.

Qualifications

Experience in Jewish education, synagogue education, or school administration.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to supervise, coach, and support teachers in a collaborative manner.
Comfortable maintaining established systems, curriculum, and relationships while solving day-to-day challenges independently.
Familiarity with Conservative Judaism is helpful but not required.
Available approximately 20 hours per week, including Sundays, Wednesdays, and occasional evening meetings.
