Software Engineer

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Taking ownership of well-scoped features and delivering them from implementation through production
Building and maintaining backend services within a distributed microservices architecture
Contributing to data-intensive applications and gaining exposure to cutting-edge techniques in:

Real-time transaction decisioning
Stream-processing
Machine learning
Participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of engineering quality

Contributing to engineering best practices including testing, monitoring, and documentation

Collaborating with product data and business stakeholders to ship features that directly impact Current’s members

ABOUT YOU:

2+ years of software engineering experience, with backend experience using a JVM language, preferably Java
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design principles
Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with cloud-hosted services, like AWS or GCP is a plus
